Books for Seniors
South Windsor Public Library offers off-site lending libraries for Senior housing and assisted living centers in town. Volunteers select approximately 75 books to bring to your facility. These books are replaced every three months or so. Although there are no overdue charges or bills for lost books, we do ask that staff (or other designated individual in the housing unit) makes a good faith effort to ensure that books are kept within the facility and returned to the same area every month so that our volunteers can collect them.

If you are interested in this service, please call 644-1541 and ask for the Information Desk.

Community Center Bus Trips
The South Windsor Public Library and the South Windsor Department of Human Services periodically collaborate on organizing bus trips for Seniors. Recent bus trips have included a Poetry Reading by Steve Foley held at the Library and a Jazz fundraising concert for the Katrina libraries held at the Capital Community College in Hartford.
