Join our Chicago Wolves Winter Reading Program! You will have a chance to win great prizes and relax this winter season some great books and rally points for school. So stop by the library and pick up your reading log and remember, "Ice Cream for Books". Stop by the Youth Service Desk and sign up!
Rally Reading Program
The Stickney - Forest View Public Library District is a participant in the Lyons School District 103 Reading Rally Program. Students that attend schools in the district can earn 2 bonus points by attending a library program from October until March 2012.

Fun Kid-Fit; Physical Education Classes For Preschoolers
Friday, January 27th @ 11:00AM
Your child will learn the basics of healthy lifestyle habits through an age appropriate physical fitness class teaching spots skills, gymnastics, dance, rhythm and creative movement. Children will learn why it’s important to exercise daily and eat healthier in a fun creative environment.
This event is for children 2 - 5 years of age. Please register for this event at least one day prior. For questions or comments stop at the Youth Service Desk or call 708-749-1050 ext 130.

Continuing Programs
Youth Services offers a series of continuing monthly programs. Stop by Youth Services and register at least one day in advance.
Mondays
Rhythm and Rhyme with Mr. Dan
5:00pm - 6:00pm
Bring your own musical instrument or use one of ours to create your own musical expression, and bring a favorite book to be sung or read to music.
For children age 5 and up. Please register at least the day before each class. Music Education helps young people feel inspired and motivated.
Tuesdays
Parents as Teachers with Ms. Nancy

10:30am -12:00pm
Dr. Martie Ryan Lukanich and Youth Service Staff will run a program to train parents to be their children's first teachers. Using songs, rhymes, books, toys and other ideas to help in your child's early development. Parents, grandparents or any adult with children from birth till 3 years of age are encouraged to attend. Children up till 5 years of age are welcome.
