Friends of the Library Fall Book Discussion Series

"Cross Creek," by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings.

Sandra Barnes will be the discussion leader. Bring a bag lunch and stay to enjoy the movie version of the story following the morning book discussion. Rawlings  won the Pulitzer Prize in 1939 for "The Yearling," a novel set  in north central Florida (where she lived, although she was originally from "up north"), and "Cross Creek" records her impressions of the people and place, now vanished, in which "The Yearling" was set.
