Summer Reading 2011 at the JBPL

July 12 - July 16
Tuesday, July 12 - Books around Bourne 10 am - Meet us at Doran Park for a baseball-themed story with the Bourne Braves players.
Wednesday, July 13 - Mad Science Machines 1pm - Learn about levers pulleys and more. Make your own simple machine to take home. Must be 6 years or older. Pre-registration required.
2nd & 3rd Grade Book Club 4pm - This book club is for children entering 2nd & 3rd grades. Please bring a favorite book you've read for summer reading to show and share with your friends.
Thursday, July 14 - Crafter's Workbench with Ally Knox 2-3:30pm - Artists must be 6 years or older. $5.00 copay per artist. Registration required.

Tuesday, July 19 - Books Around Bourne 10 am - Meet us at the Briggs McDermott House for story time.Wednesday, July 20 - World of Dolphins 1pm - Come and learn about the unique world of dolphins. Children must be 8 years or older. Registration required.
4th - 6th Grade Book Club 4pm - This book club is for children entering grades 4-6. Please bring a book you've read for summer reading to show and share with your friends.

Tanglewood Marionettes 7pm will perform "Fairy Circus" in the Children's Garden.

Tuesday, July 26 - Books Around Bourne 10 am - Join us at Massachusetts Maritime Academy for story time by the sea.Wednesday, July 27 - Sea Life 1pm - Explore the oceans through an hour of fun activities, experiments, and live animals. Must be 8 years or older. Pre-registration required.

Wednesday, August 3 - Sea Life Prints 1pm - Bring your own t-shirt or place mat and create a work of art using rubber models of sea creatures. Children must be 8 years or older. Registration required.
1st grade Book Club 4pm - This book club is for children entering 1st grade. Please bring a favorite book or a book you've read for summer reading to show and share with your friends.
Thursday, August 4 - Yo Yo Demo with Brett "Ooch" Outchcunis 3-4pm - Come and take a peak at what we'll be learning at next week's workshop. Children must be 7 years or older.
Barn Babies 5 - 7pm - Registration is required. Bring your camera and enjoy this wonderful petting zoo. Each family may enjoy one half-hour session.
