As a Teen Advisory Board member you:
- Talk about books, audiobooks, magazines, video games, movies, and music with other members.
- Come up with programming ideas for Teens at the Library.
- Help create content for the Library's Teen website and blog.
- Help out with Teen programs at the Library.
- Give your input and ideas for the new Teen Space.

Brainstorm ideas for advertising Teen Services at the Library.

High school students can play Wii games like Guitar Hero and Mario Kart on the big screen in the comfort of the Teen space. Sponsored by the Teen Advisory Board.

Use up-cycled computer parts to make couture jewelry. These one of a kind pieces include easy to make necklaces, rings, and earrings.
Create a Playlist for Your Favorite BookContest opens on Sunday, March 7 and ends Saturday, March 13.
Grades 9 – 12
Using Playlist.com, create a playlist for your favorite book and email it to the Teen Librarian. The Teen Advisory Board will vote on the best playlist and the first place winner will receive a $50 iTunes gift card, second place a $25 iTunes gift card, and third place a $15 iTunes gift card.
How to Create Your Playlist- In 10 Easy Steps
Playlist.com should not be used by persons under the age of 14.

You will need to create an account with Playlist.com to participate. To do that click here.

Once you have created an account, stay logged in to create your playlist by clicking on the "Create A Playlist" link at the top of the page.

Search for songs on Playlist.com using the search box above your playlist.

When you find a song you want, add it to your list by clicking the plus sign on the song. Preview the song by clicking the play arrow to be sure it's the song you want.

Your playlists can include songs that are mentioned in your book, but should be a list of songs inspired by the book.

Once you have finished creating your playlist, click on the link at the top of the page that says "Share Playlist" (you must be logged in to share your list).

Select the playlist that you want to send

Click on the "Get the Code" button.

Then at the top of the box click the email tab and enter the Teen Librarian's email address.

Don't forget to hit send! You will receive a confirmation email from the Teen Librarian once she has received your playlist link.
High school students only. Limit one entry per person.
